This year, your student has the chance to earn many awards! Please see the following list of awards that they may earn. These are also provided in the planner as a reference.
Honor Roll
Exemplary Honor Roll (A-Honor Roll) - This is awarded to students who earn a 90 or above in all classes for the entire year.
Distinguished Honor Roll (A/B Honor Roll) - This is awarded to students who earn an 80 or above in all classes for the entire year.
Citizenship
American Citizenship - This is awarded to students who earn an "Excellent" in citizenship in all core and specials subjects for the entire year with no office referrals.
ACA Citizenship - This is awarded to students who earn "Excellent" or "Satisfactory" in citizenship in all core and specials subjects for the entire year with no office referrals.
Other Campus Recognitions
Griffin Goodfellows - Fourth graders who complete 15 hours of community service. Students will document their service hours in their planners. (If you are on Facebook, you may join the ACA Griffin Goodfellows Facebook page for volunteering opportunities.)
ACA Bluebonnet Challenge - Students who read, or listen to, 18 of this year's Bluebonnet books and pass a short quiz over each book. Students will track their progress in their planners. Spelling Bee Participant - For students who participate in the school wide Spelling Bee.
Most Improved - Teachers will select one or two students in each homeroom that have shown significant growth over the course of the school year.
Outstanding Achievement in each core subject - For students who earn a 90 or above in a core subject for each of the four nine weeks.
Specials Awards - Each of the Specials classes (PE, Music, Art, and Spanish) will award subjects that show outstanding work in their classes.
