No student will be allowed to interfere with learning.
We will continue to use "Capturing Kids Heart" social contracts. Teachers and students will make a contract together in each of the classrooms.
It includes things such as being respectful, being honest, being a good listener, etc. If students do not follow the contract, they will receive a behavior sign on the blue page in their planner.
At the end of the nine weeks, infractions will determine their citizenship grade on the report cards. Fourth grade will be using the following scale when determining the citizenship grades.
An office referral that requires a consequence will result in a one-letter-grade drop for behavior.
Signs are simplified this year, student may receive these signs on their blue planner sheet: "1" for academics, "2" for behavior, or "3" for dress code. If necessary, an explanation will be written on the back of the blue planner sheet.
In fourth grade, we ask that planners are initialed by a parent once a week (in the Parent Signature space after each week on the blue 9 weeks calendar in the planner).
We also require planners to be signed when a behavior sign has been given. Please check your student's planner daily to check for planner signs and assignments.
